This website provides an introduction to using comparison activities to support student learning. It reflects our understanding of learning in higher
education (HE) as a process in which learners play the central role and active role in self-regulating and self-directing their learning. We believe that the more they recognise and embrace their agency for learning, the more they will be able to actively avail of and engage with the range of different learning opportunities that HE in all its variety offers them. This work arose from the educators challenges in providing feedback - (much of which we know is rarely used) - but which is demanded and privileged by student’s (and other stakeholders). We studies other types of feedback and particularly a comparison based process which could be optimal and more beneficial to students and more operational by educators. This sites is designed to support educators to create a dynamic learning environment with their students. This website is a resource which guides and support educators through each step of the process. It is also a practice development site which will hopefully help to inform and drive debate and development. |
